New c2c winter timetable includes extra trains

c2c’s new winter timetable starting on Monday 10 December is now available at stations and online.

This new commuter friendly timetable includes more trains and extra stops at busy times. It has been fine-tuned to take into account customer feedback from last year and to uphold c2c as the country’s most punctual railway.

Highlights of the new timetable include, a new 06:28 weekday service from Grays to Fenchurch Street via Rainham. In addition, a new 15:27 weekday service between Fenchurch Street and Leigh-on-Sea. Extra weekday stops are timetabled for Upminster and West Horndon during the peak period and a new late-night weekday service from Liverpool Street connects at Barking for Shoeburyness.

Weekend services are also subject to some minor timetable changes but continue to operate at the same frequency. Customers are advised to double check their usual journey times for changes.

Commenting on the changes Managing Director Mark Hopwood said,

“The new timetable introduces extra trains and additional calls at key times during the week which offer some real improvements to customers without significantly altering the schedules.

These improvements reflect our determination to listen to and respond to our customers and to ensure that they continue to receive the punctual and reliable service they are used to”.
