Extra Sunday Services
c2c has added extra Sunday services on the Tilbury loop for the next two weeks and during the Paralympics to help ensure people can get to the Games and back again.
The extra trains will run early in the morning and late at night:
- Two additional trains on Sunday mornings from Grays to Barking via Rainham. These will run before the usual service starts (at 06.59 and 07.59) to help people get to the Olympic Park for morning events
- Two additional trains on Sunday nights doing the reverse journey from Barking to Grays. These will run at 22.42 and 00.02 to reduce waiting time between trains late at night, again to help people getting home from the Olympic park.
This extra capacity is in addition to the other improvements c2c have already made for the Olympics – providing one million extra seats by running extra late night trains from West Ham to London and to Essex, doubling the length of trains during the day and after the evening peak, and adding special trains to Leigh-on-Sea for the mountain bike event at Hadleigh Farm.
