c2c CAB RIDE FOR SOUTHEND PRIMARY SCHOOL BROTHERS
National Express train operator c2c gave two young brothers the chance to celebrate half-term with a difference when they won the opportunity to ride with the driver of a c2c train in their school raffle.
Connor Young, 8, and his 5-year-old brother Cameron, travelled in the driver’s cab on Friday from Shoeburyness to London’s Fenchurch Street after winning the prize in a raffle held by Hinguar Primary School. The trip began a weekend of celebrations to mark Connor’s eighth birthday on Sunday 4th November.
The boys’ mother Kelly Wall, from Shoeburyness, said: “They absolutely loved the trip. They were really interested in everything you got to see from the driver’s window, especially when we were passing the tube trains. They boys were buzzing afterwards.”
c2c driver Geoff Powell, who organised the prize, said: “It’s always a pleasure to do something like this and it’s nice to be able to help Hinguar School. It was really great to see how much the boys enjoyed their special trip.”
