Season Ticket FAQs

All you need to know

A great idea for regular journeys to work, school or college, a season ticket gives you unlimited travel between two points. They are available for a week, a month or any length of time between a month and a year.

You will need a passport-sized photograph to purchase a season ticket. Buy Now

Buying your first season ticket

Just take a passport sized photo of yourself to your local station and complete an application form. Your ticket will be issued immediately. With some weekly season tickets you do not need a photo - ask at your local station for more details.

Renewing your ticket

To avoid the queues, renew by calling our Ticket sales hotline on 08457 44 44 22. Please allow up to 5 days for delivery. Or renew at the ticket office, many are open on Sundays to help you avoid Monday morning queues.

Payment can be made by:

  • Personal cheque made payable to c2c Rail Limited

  • Company cheque

  • Rail travel vouchers

  • Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta, Diners, American Express

  • Cash

Weekly tickets can also be renewed from the automatic ticket machines located on most stations.

Changing your ticket

If you have one month or longer left on your ticket we can change it. It's best to do this at your new station. New tickets will have the same expiry date as your old ticket and any extra charges or refunds for your new journey will be made.

Applying for a refund

The moment you no longer need your season ticket go to the issuing ticket office and we'll calculate your refund. At least 3 days should be remaining on a weekly ticket and 7 days on a monthly ticket. Longer term tickets that have been used for 10 months and 13 days or more are not eligible for a refund.

What to do if you lose your ticket

Please inform the issuing ticket office immediately if your ticket is lost or stolen. A duplicate ticket will be issued if the lost ticket is valid for one month or more. A small admin fee may be payable. Unfortunately weekly tickets cannot be replaced.

What to do if you forget your ticket

Because you must carry a valid ticket at all times, buy a ticket for your journey and when you next have your season ticket with you just show the ticket and ask for a refund. Refunds will be allowed twice in 12 months and on the second occasion an admin fee may be payable. All claims must be made within 28 days.

What to do if your ticket no longer opens the gates

Just ask for a replacement at the issuing ticket office. No charge will be made.

Company cheques

Before paying by company cheque, please ensure you ask the station for the precise amount payable. This will ensure all discounts / revised fares are taken into account when the cheque is presented.
